Download the beta

Ktkarena's Android app is in beta and doesn't go through any app store: you won't find it on Google Play. It downloads directly from the site.

1. On your Android phone, open your browser and go to ktkarena.com/telecharger-beta. You can also tap "Download the APK" on the Android Beta page.
2. The download of the file ktkarena-beta.apk starts. This link always serves the latest published version of the beta.
3. Wait for the download to finish. The file is large: use Wi-Fi if your data plan is limited.

The beta installs on a phone or tablet running Android 7.0 or later (Which devices are compatible). An APK file doesn't install on an iPhone: there's no iPhone app yet (Ktkarena on iPhone: no app yet).

Allow the install, then install

Since the app doesn't come from Google Play, Android asks for your permission before installing it.

1. Open the downloaded file, from the download notification or from your phone's "Files" (or "Downloads") app.
2. If Android blocks the install, it offers to open its settings: allow the app that opens the file (your browser or your file manager) to install apps. Depending on your phone, the option is called "Install unknown apps", "Allow from this source" or "Unknown sources".
3. Go back to the file and tap "Install".
4. Once the install is done, open the app, then log in or create your account.

You can remove this permission once the app is installed; you'll need to grant it again to install a new version.

What to do if the installation fails

"The installation is blocked": check that you've allowed the app that opens the file to install apps (see above).

"App not installed":

• Check that you have enough storage space left, then try again.
• Check your phone's Android version (in its settings, under "About phone"): you need Android 7.0 or later.
• The file may be incomplete: delete it and download it again from ktkarena.com/telecharger-beta.
• If a version of Ktkarena is already installed and Android refuses to replace it, uninstall it first, then install the new file. Your account isn't stored on your phone: you get it back by logging in again (Reinstall the app without losing my data).

"The download is very slow or stops":

• Check your connection, or switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or the other way round).
• Start the download again from ktkarena.com/telecharger-beta.

If nothing works, write to support@ktkarena.com with:

• Your phone model (for example, Samsung Galaxy A52).
• Your Android version.
• The message displayed, with a screenshot if possible.
