If you're struggling right now

You can block yourself, right now, without going through anyone. Settings → Responsible gaming → Self-exclusion. Pick 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanent. It takes effect immediately: no more bets, no more deposits.

You owe no explanation, and nobody will call you to talk you out of it.

Switching on a self-exclusion is not an admission of failure. It's a decision made calmly, by you, that protects you from the ones made in the heat of the moment. If you're hesitating about switching it on, that's usually the sign that you should.

If you'd rather talk to a person than to an interface, go straight to section 5.

Our commitments

Ktkarena sells a betting product. It is paid entertainment, and it can become a problem. We won't pretend otherwise, and we won't ask you to "gamble responsibly" in small print while pushing you the other way.

What we commit to:

  • Protection tools are never harder to reach than betting tools. Self-exclusion is in the settings, not at the end of a support form.
  • A temporary self-exclusion cannot be cut short. It runs to term and lifts by itself: no setting and no support request shortens it. A protection you can switch off on impulse isn't one.
  • We do not chase excluded accounts. No notifications, no promotional email, no comeback offer during an exclusion.
  • We extend no credit. You can only stake KTK you have already deposited. The platform refuses any stake above your balance.
  • Our revenue does not depend on your losses. Our commission is taken from the pot of every settled bet, whoever wins it. We are the counterparty to no bet: you bet against other people, never against us.

That last point is structural, not a slogan: in a peer-to-peer model, a player who loses everything earns us nothing more than one who wins. In fact they earn us nothing at all any more, because they stop playing.

The tools, and what they actually do

Four tools, all free, all switchable from your account settings. What follows describes what the platform actually does, not what it would like to do.

3.1 Maximum stake per bet

A ceiling on a single bet. Any stake above it is refused at confirmation, with the ceiling shown in the message. Useful against the impulsive "win it back" bet, which is almost always bigger than the ones before.

3.2 Daily loss limit

A loss budget per day. When today's losses, plus the stake you're about to place, would exceed the limit, the bet is refused.

One detail that matters. This limit counts realised losses: bets already settled and lost. Stakes committed to events that haven't settled yet don't count towards it until the result is in.

In other words: you can have far more money committed than the limit shows as used. Set it accordingly.

The counter resets at midnight.

3.3 Weekly and monthly deposit limits

A ceiling on the total deposited over seven days and over thirty days. This is the limit that protects best, because it acts upstream: you cannot lose money you never put on the platform.

3.4 Self-exclusion

Four durations: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or permanent. During an exclusion, no bet and no deposit is possible.

Bets already committed run their course and settle when the event resolves; any winnings remain available to withdraw. An exclusion blocks the gambling, not your money.

An exclusion is not negotiable. Once set, a temporary exclusion runs to term: it lifts by itself at the deadline, and nothing shortens it in between. A permanent exclusion does not lift.

Stake, loss and deposit limits, by contrast, can be changed freely in either direction. They protect you from the impulse of the moment, not from a considered decision to raise them: self-exclusion is what plays that role.

Practical detail for each tool in the help center: set my limits and self-exclude. The contractual framework is in Article 8 of the Terms.

The signs that should worry you

What follows is not a test and diagnoses nothing. These are the behaviours professionals look at when assessing a problematic relationship with gambling. Reading them honestly is worth more than scoring yourself.

  • You bet again to win back what you lost, and the amount keeps growing.
  • You stake more and more to feel the same thing.
  • You have tried to cut down or stop, and couldn't.
  • You think about it often: past bets, next bets, how to fund the next ones.
  • You gamble when things are bad — stress, anxiety, boredom, guilt.
  • You lie about what you gamble, or hide it from people close to you.
  • You borrow, or you dip into money that was meant for something else.
  • Gambling has already cost you something that mattered: a relationship, a job, your studies.
  • You feel irritable or restless when you can't gamble.

If several of these describe you, it is neither inevitable nor a question of willpower. It is a difficulty that can be treated, and treated far better when dealt with early. Talk to someone — someone close to you, a doctor, or one of the resources below.

Where to find help

Talk to someone, free of charge

Joueurs Info Service — 09 74 75 13 13, standard-rate call from France, 8am to 2am, seven days a week. A French-language helpline staffed by professionals, anonymous and free. Also reachable by chat at joueurs-info-service.fr.

In Central and West Africa, dedicated gambling helplines are rare or non-existent depending on the country. We would rather say so than display a number that wouldn't answer.

Write to support@ktkarena.com: we point you to the services actually available in your country — hospital addiction units, associations, health professionals. If we don't know of any near you, we will tell you that too.

Your doctor is still the first person to ask

A general practitioner can assess the situation and refer you to an addiction service. Problem gambling is recognised as an addictive disorder: it is not something to be ashamed of raising in a consultation.

Telling someone close to you

Not an institutional resource, but often the most effective one. Isolation and secrecy are two of the mechanisms that most reliably make a problematic relationship with gambling worse.

Minors

Ktkarena is forbidden to anyone under 18, without exception and in every jurisdiction. It is a condition of access set out in Article 4 of the Terms: opening or using an account below that age breaches them, and the account is closed.

If you share a device with a minor, don't leave your session open. If you believe a minor is using an account, write to support@ktkarena.com: the account will be suspended pending verification.

What we will never do

  • Lend you money, in any form. No credit, no advance, no overdraft.
  • Chase you after a self-exclusion. Not during, and not "just to let you know it's ending".
  • Make a protection harder to switch on than to switch off.
  • Present gambling as a source of income, a financial solution, or a skill that guarantees winning.
  • Target anyone based on their losses. No campaign, no notification, no offer built on the fact that you have just lost.

If you find us falling short on any of these, tell us: support@ktkarena.com. A commitment nobody can check isn't one.
