Preamble. These Terms of Service (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern the use of the Ktkarena platform (hereinafter the “Platform”), accessible via the iOS and Android mobile application, as well as via the website ktkarena.com.
Ktkarena is published by Ktkarena SAS, a simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) under Cameroonian law, registered with the Trade and Personal Property Credit Register of Douala under number [NUMERO_RCCM_À_COMPLÉTER], with its registered office located at Boulevard de la Liberté, Douala, Cameroon.
Use of the Platform implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. Any User who does not wish to accept the Terms must refrain from using the Platform.
Article 1Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the terms below, when capitalized, have the following meaning:
Article 2Purpose
The purpose of these Terms is to define the conditions under which Ktkarena makes the Platform available to the User, as well as the rights and obligations of the parties.
Ktkarena offers an online peer-to-peer betting service between individuals, in which Users bet against each other, without Ktkarena acting as a counterparty.
Ktkarena acts as a technical intermediary facilitating the matching of Users and the safeguarding of their stakes. Ktkarena charges a commission only on the winnings of winning Users, at the rate specified in Article 8.
Article 3Acceptance of the Terms
3.1 Express acceptance
Use of the Platform requires express acceptance of these Terms when creating the Account. This acceptance is recorded by means of a checkbox.
3.2 Amendments
Ktkarena reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be notified to the User at least thirty (30) days before they take effect, by in-app notification and by email.
3.3 Refusal of amendments
If the User refuses the new Terms, the User has the right to terminate their Account free of charge and without penalty, and to recover their entire KTK balance under the conditions set out in Article 13.
Article 4Eligibility requirements
4.1 Age
Use of the Platform is strictly reserved for natural persons of legal age, i.e. at least eighteen (18) years old. Ktkarena reserves the right to request proof of age at any time.
4.2 Legal capacity
The User declares that they have full legal capacity to enter into contracts and to use the Platform.
4.3 Residence and jurisdiction
The Platform is intended for residents of the CEMAC-zone countries (Cameroon, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea) and of certain countries in West Africa and Europe. The exhaustive list of authorized countries is available on the Platform. Use from a non-authorized country may result in suspension of the Account.
4.4 Absolute prohibitions
The following are strictly prohibited from using the Platform:
- minors;
- persons subject to a self-exclusion measure or a court-ordered exclusion;
- persons residing in a non-authorized country;
- gambling-industry professionals acting in the course of their professional activity;
- persons whose account was terminated for cause within the preceding twelve (12) months.
Article 5Account creation and management
5.1 Creation
Creating an Account requires providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information: email address, password, username, country of residence, date of birth.
5.2 Identity verification (KYC)
Ktkarena reserves the right to request supporting identity documents at any time (official ID document, proof of address) in order to comply with its legal obligations regarding anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing. This verification is mandatory for withdrawals exceeding certain thresholds specified in Article 8.
5.3 Account security
The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials. Any action performed from the Account is deemed to have been performed by the User. Ktkarena strongly recommends enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).
5.4 Single account
Each User may hold only one Account. The creation of multiple accounts by the same person results in the suspension of all the accounts concerned and the forfeiture of their balances.
5.5 Transfer
The Account is strictly personal and may not be assigned, lent, rented or transferred to a third party.
Article 6Use of the Platform
6.1 Personal, non-commercial use
Use of the Platform is reserved for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6.2 Prohibited uses
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
- the use of automated software (bots, scripts) without express authorization;
- bulk data collection from the Platform (scraping);
- any attempt to circumvent security measures;
- any attempt to exploit technical vulnerabilities;
- any manipulation of event results (in particular through collusion with another User);
- any attempt at money laundering or financing illegal activities.
6.3 Automatic suspension
Ktkarena reserves the right to automatically suspend, without notice, any Account exhibiting suspicious behavior, in particular via its fraud detection system (Fraud Detection) described in the technical documentation.
Article 7Peer-to-peer betting system
7.1 Peer-to-peer betting principle
On the Platform, the User does not bet against Ktkarena but against another User who has taken the opposite position on the same Event.
7.2 Binary format
All Events offered on the Platform are binary: each Event has two mutually exclusive outcomes (“Outcome A” and “Outcome B”). Accumulator bets and multi-outcome bets are not offered.
7.3 Stake tiers
Bets are segmented into five (5) stake tiers based on their amount:

Bets below 1,000 KTK or above 20,000,000 KTK are not permitted.
7.4 Matching cascade
When the User places a Bet, the matching algorithm performs the following operations:
- search for an opponent within the same stake tier and on the same Event;
- if unsuccessful within a defined timeframe, broadening of the search to neighboring tiers;
- if still unsuccessful, transfer of the Bet to the Mutualized Pool;
- as a last resort, placement of the Bet in a FIFO queue until expiry or automatic refund.
7.5 Mutualized Pool
The Mutualized Pool allows a User to obtain a counterparty even in the absence of a direct opponent, by pooling their stake with those of other Users. Pool odds emerge dynamically from the distribution of stakes. The commission applicable to the Mutualized Pool is increased by 1% compared to the tier commission.
7.6 Cancellation
The User may request the cancellation of a Bet according to the following rules:
- Bet not yet matched: full refund, no penalty;
- Bet matched less than 5 minutes ago: 10% penalty;
- Bet matched less than 1 hour ago: 15% penalty;
- Bet matched more than 1 hour ago: 20% penalty.
The penalty is permanently lost by the User and does not constitute revenue for Ktkarena (the amount is burned).
7.7 Event resolution
An Event is resolved in one of three ways:
- AUTO: automatic resolution if the external source's confidence is ≥ 95%;
- SEMI-AUTO: automatic suggestion validated by an administrator (default mode);
- MANUAL: fully manual resolution for Events that are sensitive or cannot be verified automatically.
All resolutions are recorded in a timestamped, reviewable technical log.
7.8 Disputes
The User has forty-eight (48) hours from the resolution of an Event to dispute it. The dispute is filed from the application via the dedicated form, and must be accompanied by evidence. The dispute is reviewed by an administrator other than the one who initially resolved the Event.
Article 8Financial system
8.1 Internal currency
The Platform's internal currency is the KTK. KTK is neither a cryptocurrency nor legal tender. Its value is set by Ktkarena. All internal operations (bets, winnings, losses) are denominated in KTK.
8.2 Deposit methods
The User can fund their KTK balance via:

8.3 Withdrawal methods
Withdrawals are made using the same methods as deposits. Processing times vary by method and may take up to 72 business hours for withdrawals above certain thresholds, due to security checks.
8.4 Ktkarena's commission
Ktkarena charges a commission only on peer-to-peer winnings, never on stakes. The rate varies by stake tier:

For bets resolved via the Mutualized Pool, the commission is increased by 1%.
8.5 Escrow
When a Bet is matched, the User's stake is locked in escrow until the Event is resolved. During the escrow period, neither Ktkarena nor the User may dispose of the stake. The escrow is released automatically upon resolution.
8.6 Betting and deposit limits
To support responsible gaming, the User can configure in their settings:
- a maximum stake limit per bet;
- a daily loss limit;
- weekly and monthly deposit limits;
- a session duration limit.
Once set, these limits can only be increased after a 7-day waiting period.
8.7 Self-exclusion
The User may activate at any time a temporary (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days) or permanent self-exclusion. During self-exclusion, the User can neither bet nor deposit funds. Any lifting of self-exclusion is subject to a mandatory waiting period.
Article 9Prediction mode
9.1 Free of charge
Prediction Mode is a free feature offered by Ktkarena. No KTK stake is required to participate.
9.2 Sealed off from the financial system
Prediction Mode is hermetically separated from the financial system. No prediction can be converted into a real bet, and no KTK winnings can be obtained through predictions.
9.3 Rewards
The only rewards in Prediction Mode are:
- ranking points (the “Devin score”);
- progressive tiers (the “Devin tiers”, seventeen in total);
- historical badges;
- experience points (XP) integrated into the gamification system.
9.4 Score calculation
The Devin score is calculated using a composite formula incorporating the accuracy (50%), volume (30%) and consistency (20%) of the User's predictions. This formula may be adjusted by Ktkarena at any time, within the limits of leaderboard fairness.
Article 10Conduct and moderation
10.1 Rules of conduct
The User agrees to comply with the following rules of conduct in all their interactions on the Platform (match chats, private leagues, social feed, private messages):
- no insults, harassment or discrimination;
- no pornographic, violent or shocking content;
- no incitement to hatred or violence;
- no spam, unauthorized advertising or malicious links;
- no disclosure of other people's personal information;
- no attempts to scam or extort other Users.
10.2 Progressive sanctions
Violations of the rules of conduct result in progressive sanctions:
- written warning;
- temporary suspension of social features;
- temporary suspension of the Account;
- permanent termination of the Account with forfeiture of the balance in accordance with Article 13.
10.3 Moderation
Ktkarena reserves the right to moderate any content published on the Platform, either after the fact upon report, or beforehand by automated algorithm.
Article 11Intellectual property
11.1 Ktkarena's rights
All elements making up the Platform (interface, logos, trademarks, texts, photographs, illustrations, source code, design, the “Acid Lime” logo, the Devin tier system, proprietary algorithms) are the exclusive property of Ktkarena or its licensors.
11.2 License to use
Ktkarena grants the User, for the duration of their use of the Platform, a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform, strictly limited to the purposes set out in these Terms.
11.3 User content
The User retains intellectual property rights over the content they publish on the Platform (comments, feed posts, chat messages). By publishing it, the User grants Ktkarena a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, for the legal term of the rights, allowing Ktkarena to host, reproduce, adapt, moderate and display this content as part of the operation of the Platform.
Article 12Ktkarena's liability
12.1 Best-efforts obligation
Ktkarena is bound by a best-efforts obligation in providing the Platform. Ktkarena undertakes to deploy reasonable technical and human resources to ensure the proper functioning and security of the Platform.
12.2 Availability
Ktkarena does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, technical upgrades, or in cases of force majeure. Ktkarena undertakes to inform Users of major incidents via the system status page.
12.3 Limitations of liability
Ktkarena cannot be held liable for:
- financial losses resulting from the User's betting choices;
- the conduct of other Users;
- malfunctions of third-party providers (Mobile Money, banks, cloud providers), except where Ktkarena breaches its own contractual obligations;
- events of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code, applied by analogy.
12.4 Liability cap
In any event, Ktkarena's total liability towards a User is capped at the amount of commissions received by Ktkarena from that User during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Article 13Suspension, termination and consequences
13.1 Termination by the User
The User may terminate their Account at any time from their settings, with no reason required. Ongoing Bets will be either settled or refunded depending on their status at the time of termination. The remaining KTK balance will be withdrawn under the usual conditions.
13.2 Suspension by Ktkarena
Ktkarena may temporarily suspend an Account in the event of:
- reasonable suspicion of fraud;
- an ongoing identity verification procedure;
- an alleged violation of these Terms;
- an administrative or court decision requiring it.
13.3 Termination by Ktkarena
Ktkarena may permanently terminate an Account in the event of:
- a serious or repeated violation of these Terms;
- proven fraud;
- conduct seriously harming the community;
- use for illegal purposes.
13.4 Consequences of termination for cause
In the event of termination for cause:
- the KTK balance is forfeited;
- ongoing potential winnings are canceled;
- the User may be permanently banned from creating a new Account;
- Ktkarena may forward the case file to the competent authorities.
Article 14General provisions
14.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by Cameroonian law.
14.2 Dispute resolution
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these Terms shall, failing a prior amicable agreement, be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Douala, Cameroon.
14.3 Mediation
Before initiating any legal action, the User agrees to contact Ktkarena at legal@ktkarena.com in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement within thirty (30) days, legal proceedings may be initiated.
14.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is declared void, unlawful or unenforceable, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
14.5 Entire agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and Ktkarena regarding the use of the Platform. They cancel and replace any prior agreement.
