Why set limits
Before explaining how, we want to be clear about the why.
Betting can become a problem. That's a fact. Every serious operator in the world acknowledges this risk, and Ktkarena is no exception. The difference is that we built the protection tools into the product from day one, not as an optional add-on buried in an obscure menu.
Setting limits is a way of respecting yourself. You decide with a cool head what you're willing to risk, and you protect yourself from heat-of-the-moment decisions when you're frustrated or euphoric. It's what the pros do, and it's what we recommend to everyone.
The 4 types of limits available
Limit 1 - Maximum amount per bet
You set the maximum amount you can stake on a single bet. If you try to place a bet above this limit, the app blocks you.
Typical use: "I never want to stake more than 50,000 KTK on a single bet, even if I'm very confident."
Configurable range: from 1,000 KTK to 20,000,000 KTK.
Limit 2 - Maximum daily losses
You set the maximum amount you can lose within a rolling 24-hour window. Once reached, the app blocks any new bet until the next day.
Typical use: "If I lose 100,000 KTK in a day, I stop, period."
Configurable range: from 5,000 KTK to 5,000,000 KTK per day.
Limit 3 - Maximum weekly deposits
You set the maximum amount you can deposit into your Ktkarena account over a rolling 7-day window. Beyond that, deposits are declined.
Typical use: "I want to cap my betting budget at 200,000 KTK per week, no more."
Configurable range: from 10,000 KTK to 10,000,000 KTK per week.
Limit 4 - Maximum session duration
You set the maximum duration of a continuous gaming session. At the end of this duration, the app shows you a break message and automatically signs you out for at least 30 minutes.
Typical use: "I don't want to spend more than 2 hours a day on Ktkarena."
Configurable range: from 15 minutes to 8 hours.
Important. These 4 limits are independent. You can enable none of them, just one, or all 4 at once. None is mandatory - it's your choice.
How to set up your limits
Step 1 - Open the settings
In the app:
Account → Settings → Responsible Gaming → My limits
Step 2 - Enable a limit
For each type of limit:
- Turn on the toggle next to the limit.
- Enter the desired amount or duration.
- Confirm with Save.
The limit is active immediately.
Step 3 - Change a limit
To lower a limit (make it stricter):
- Immediate change, no delay.
- Active within seconds.
To raise a limit (make it less strict):
- Request submitted, with a waiting period of 7 days.
- During those 7 days, the old limit stays active.
- You can cancel the request at any time during the waiting period.
It's a protective measure: we don't want you to raise your limit in the heat of the moment after a big loss, and regret it afterwards.
Good to know. The 7-day delay to raise a limit is non-negotiable. Even if you contact support, we can't speed it up. It's a technical rule enforced by our system, not a human decision.
What you see when a limit is reached
When you hit a limit, the app shows you:
- A clear notification: "You've reached your daily loss limit (100,000 KTK)".
- A positive reminder: "Come back tomorrow or adjust your limits in Settings".
- The time until reset: "Limit resets in 8 hours".
No guilt-tripping message. No pushy invitation to raise the limit. Just the info, and the option to come back later.
Special cases
"I forgot to set my limits before starting"
No problem. You can set them at any time, even in the middle of a gaming session. They apply immediately to future bets.
"I went over a limit because of a bug"
Very rare, but it happens. Contact support (support@ktkarena.com) with the details. We refund any bets that shouldn't have gone through.
"I want stricter limits than the ones allowed"
If you want a limit below the minimums (for example: 500 KTK per bet maximum), it's probably better to consider self-exclusion. See the article on self-exclusion.
