Recover a deleted account

TL;DR

For 30 days after closure: just log back in, you'll see a "Cancel closure" button. Beyond the 30 days: the old account can't be recovered, but you can create a new account with the same identity (KYC already validated). Your old handle, history, and stats are lost.

During the grace period (D+0 to D+30)

You closed your account but you regret it (or you tapped by mistake). During the first 30 days, recovery is immediate and complete:

  1. Open the Ktkarena app.
  2. Log in normally with your phone number and your password.
  3. The home screen shows a message: "Your account is being closed. Scheduled date: [date D+30]. You can still cancel."
  4. Tap "Cancel closure".
  5. Confirm with your 2FA.
  6. Done. Your account is immediately reactivated exactly as before. You get back:
    • Your full balance.
    • Your complete history.
    • Your in-progress bets (if any remained).
    • Your stats, badges, rankings.
    • Your friends and private leagues.

No loss, no degradation. It's as if you had never closed it.

After permanent deletion (D+30 and beyond)

Once the 30-day window has passed, the deletion becomes permanent and you can no longer recover your old account.

In practice:

  • Your handle is released (after 90 days, it can be reused by someone else).
  • Your bet history is anonymized in our systems (transactions remain for legal obligations but are no longer linked to an active account).
  • Your balance (if any remained) is kept but inaccessible - you have to go through support with proof of identity to recover it (manual procedure, 1-2 weeks).

You can no longer:

  • Log back in to that account.
  • Recover your old bets or your stats.
  • Recover your old handle.
  • Recover your badges or your ranking.

If you want to bet on Ktkarena again, you have to create a new account.

Creating a new account with the same identity

You can re-create an account with the same legal identity (same name, same ID document, same number). The procedure:

  1. Uninstall the app and reinstall it (to avoid stale caches).
  2. Tap "Create an account" like a new user.
  3. Enter your info (phone number - which can be the same as before, or a new one).
  4. KYC is faster this time: our system recognizes your KYC identity already validated for the old account. You still have to redo the verification selfie, but it's quicker (validation within a few hours vs 24h for a first sign-up).
  5. You have a new account, completely fresh: new handle, zero balance, zero stats, no history. Like starting over.

Important. We allow only one active account per identity at a time. If you re-create an account while your old one is still in the grace period (D+0 to D+30), the old one will be deleted immediately and permanently.

Special case: closure due to self-exclusion

If you closed your account due to self-exclusion (problem gambling), the procedure is different:

  • You can't re-create an account during your self-exclusion period. Our system recognizes your identity and blocks the creation.
  • You can only re-create an account after your self-exclusion period ends (for example, 1 year after closure for a 1-year self-exclusion).
  • Our system reminds you when you try to create a new account with your KYC identity: "You are self-excluded until [date]. Account creation is blocked until that date."

It's deliberate: otherwise, self-exclusion would be meaningless. Better to be strict.

If you need help during this period, reach out directly to specialized responsible gaming organizations - we provide their contact details in the self-exclusion resources.
