How do I create my Ktkarena account?

Before you start: what you need

Three things to prepare before signing up:

A phone with an active number. We send an SMS code to verify it's really yours. This number becomes your main identifier for logging in. Choose carefully - you can change it later, but it's an operation that requires an additional verification.

A valid email address. You need it for important notifications (security, disputes, resolutions) and to recover your account if you lose your phone.

An official ID document. National ID card, passport, or driver's license. For Cameroonians: the national ID or passport. For other CEMAC countries: the equivalent national document. It must be valid and legible.

The 5 sign-up steps

1. Download the app from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Type "Ktkarena" in the search, and install the official app (green logo with the stylized K).
2. Open the app and tap "Create an account". You land on the sign-up screen.
3. Enter your phone number with the country code (for example +237 for Cameroon). Tap "Send code". You receive an SMS with a 6-digit code within 30 seconds. If you don't receive anything, check that you typed the right number and tap "Resend code".
4. Enter the SMS code in the app. If it's correct, you move on to the next step. If you get it wrong 3 times, you have to wait 15 minutes before trying again.
5. Choose a password and enter your email. The password must be at least 8 characters with at least one digit and one uppercase letter. How to choose a strong password.

At this point, your account is created but not yet verified. You can log in, explore the app, and use prediction mode. But you can't bet with money yet.

KYC: why and how

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the verification of your identity. It's mandatory to bet with real money on Ktkarena, as on all regulated gambling platforms. Everything about KYC.

Here's how to complete your KYC in the app:

1. Go to Profile → Security → Verify my identity.
2. Choose the type of document you're going to present (national ID, passport, license).
3. Take a photo of the front of your document. The app guides you with a frame.
4. Take a photo of the back (if applicable).
5. Take a selfie: the app asks you to turn your head right, left, and smile. This proves you're really the person on the document.
6. Confirm. You receive a confirmation: "Verification request sent. You'll receive a notification within 24h."

What you can do while waiting for validation

While your KYC is being verified (between a few hours and 24h on average), here's what you can do:

• Browse the Help Center.
• Follow ongoing events.

You can't yet:

• Deposit money.
• Place a bet with real KTK.
• Withdraw money.

As soon as your KYC is validated, you receive a notification: "Your account is verified. You can now deposit and bet." From there, you have access to all features.
