TL;DR

Go to Profile → Responsible Gaming → Self-exclusion. Choose a duration: 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year. Your account is locked - no betting or depositing possible. Your money stays safe and you can withdraw it. The decision is irreversible for the chosen duration (for your safety). We also send you free help resources.

Why self-exclusion exists

Betting should remain a balanced pleasure, not an obsession that destroys your life. But that's easy to say and harder to live. Sometimes you may feel you're losing control:

  • You bet more than you can afford.
  • You bet to "win it back" after a loss.
  • You lie to the people close to you about your betting.
  • You bet instead of working or taking care of your family.
  • You think about betting constantly.
  • You feel physically unwell (insomnia, anxiety) because of betting.

If you recognize any of these signs, self-exclusion can help you. It's a tool you activate yourself to block your own access to betting for a chosen period. Like a voluntary "stop".

Important. You're not alone, and there's no shame in it. Problem gambling is a recognized medical condition that affects between 1 and 5% of regular bettors depending on the region. Asking for help is an act of courage and clear-headedness.

The 4 available durations

You can choose a self-exclusion of:

1. 7 days. To take a short break, get out of a bad streak, refocus. Ideal after an intense session or a tough loss.

2. 30 days. To truly disconnect for a month. Useful for regaining confidence and perspective.

3. 6 months. A real detox. For situations where you feel you have a genuine problem and want to address it seriously.

4. 1 year. The strongest option. For serious cases, or to commit to an external treatment program alongside it.

Important. Self-exclusion is irreversible for the chosen duration. If you activate 6 months, you can't cancel after 2 days because you changed your mind. That's deliberate: otherwise, the tool would have no value.

So choose carefully. If you're hesitating, start with 7 or 30 days. You can always activate it again afterwards if you feel the need.

How to activate self-exclusion

  1. Go to Profile → Responsible Gaming → Self-exclusion.
  2. Read the information screen explaining the consequences. Take your time.
  3. Choose your duration from the 4 options.
  4. Confirm with your password + 2FA (protection against accidental activation).
  5. One last confirmation: "Are you sure? This action is irreversible for [duration]."
  6. Immediate activation. Your account is locked. You receive:
    • A confirmation notification.
    • An email with the details (end date of the exclusion).
    • Free help resources: phone numbers of specialized organizations in Cameroon and the CEMAC region, advice websites, support groups.

During and after self-exclusion

During self-exclusion:

  • You can't bet: the betting screen is disabled. If you try, a message shows you the end date.
  • You can't deposit: to keep you from accumulating money you won't be able to use.
  • You can withdraw your money: your balance still belongs to you. You can make a withdrawal at any time.
  • You can log in to the app: to check your history, follow how events unfold (as a viewer), talk in the chat.
  • You receive fewer notifications: we turn off push notifications for events, promotions, etc. Only important notifications (security, disputes) remain.
  • You receive occasional support emails: not to lure you back, but with help resources and messages of encouragement.

After self-exclusion:

  • On the end date, your account is automatically reactivated. You can bet and deposit again.
  • We send you a welcome-back email: "Welcome back. How are you feeling? Here are a few tips for easing back in calmly."
  • You can activate a new self-exclusion if you feel the need.

You can also request permanent closure if you never want to bet again. Permanently close my account.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. Our KYC recognizes your identity - creating a second account with the same identity is blocked and leads to both accounts being closed. Self-exclusion is enforced 100%.

Not automatically. Each platform has its own system. But in the CEMAC region, the CNJHC is working on a cross-platform self-exclusion system (in progress, not yet active).

No shame in it. Activate a longer self-exclusion, and contact a specialized organization. Problem gambling is a condition that can be treated - self-exclusion alone isn't always enough.
