Leaving or dissolving a league

Leaving a league (member)

If you're a regular member of a league and you want to leave it:

1. Go to League → Settings → Leave the league.
2. Confirm.
3. You're removed immediately.

Effects:

• No automatic notification to the other members (unless the admin enabled that option in the settings).
• The admin can see in the member list that you're no longer there, but with no loud alert.
• Your historical bets in the league remain visible to others (for the consistency of past leaderboards).
• You can no longer see the chat or new bets.
• You can be re-invited later if you change your mind.

No negative consequences: your personal stats, your balance, your Devin score stay intact. Leaving a league only affects your membership in that specific group.

Dissolving a league (admin)

If you're the admin and you want to dissolve the league entirely:

1. Go to League → Settings → Dissolve the league.
2. Confirm with your password (security against accidental dissolution).
3. Type "DISSOLVE" in a text field to confirm permanently.
4. The league is dissolved.

Effects:

• All members receive a notification: "The league [Name] has been dissolved by the admin. The history stays in your archives."
• The league disappears from the members' active list.
• The history of leaderboards and challenges is kept in each member's personal archives (visible in Profile → League history).
• The chat is archived but accessible read-only for former members.
• This action is irreversible. You can't "undo" the dissolution.

What happens to your history

Leaving or dissolving a league never deletes your personal history:

• Your resolved bets in the league stay in your personal history (Profile → My bets).
• Your badges earned in the league stay on your profile.
• Your aggregated statistics (success rate, total winnings) aren't affected - they already included the league's bets in your global score.

What disappears:

• Your access to the league's chat (except in archive mode if the league is dissolved).
• Your rank on the league's leaderboard (since the league no longer has an active leaderboard).
• The future challenges you would have taken part in.

You lose nothing personal. You just lose your membership in that specific group.

Special case: inactive league

A league is considered inactive if:

• No member has placed a bet or prediction for 60 days.
• No message has been sent in the chat for 60 days.

What happens automatically:

• At 60 days of inactivity: the admin gets a notification "Your league [Name] has been inactive for 60 days. Do you want to keep it?"
• If the admin does nothing: at 90 days of inactivity, we send a final reminder.
• At 120 days of total inactivity: the league is automatically dissolved. All members are notified, with the history archived.

To avoid automatic dissolution:

• The admin can stay active by sending a message at least once every 2 months.
• Or mark the league as "Paused" (League → Settings → Pause), which suspends the inactivity counter until reactivation.
