League leaderboards and challenges

Reading time: 4 min Updated May 22, 2026 2,632 people found this article helpful
TL;DR

Every league has its own leaderboard (by arena bets or predictions, depending on the config). Automatic weekly challenges suggested based on the theme. The admin can also create manual challenges (mini-tournaments between members). Rewards: special "Champion of [League]" badges and Devin point bonuses.

The league's internal leaderboard

Every league has a member-specific leaderboard, distinct from the global Ktkarena leaderboard.

Available leaderboard types (the admin chooses):

1. Leaderboard by success rate (default).
Members are ranked by their success rate over the period. The more accurate your predictions, the higher you climb.

2. Leaderboard by Devin score earned in the league.
Members are ranked by the total Devin points earned through their resolved predictions while they were in the league.

3. Leaderboard by arena winnings.
If the league is arena-focused, members are ranked by their net KTK winnings (winnings - losses - commissions).

4. Mixed leaderboard (prediction + arena).
A combined score that takes both modes into account. More complex but more complete.

Leaderboard period:

  • Weekly: resets every Monday.
  • Monthly: resets on the 1st of each month.
  • Seasonal: aligned with the Ktkarena seasonal tournaments (3 months).
  • Permanent: since the league's creation, never resets.

You can have multiple simultaneous leaderboards (weekly + monthly + seasonal in parallel). They're visible in League → Leaderboards.

The automatic weekly challenges

If the league is configured with "Automatic challenges enabled", every Monday we suggest a challenge tailored to the league's theme.

Examples of weekly challenges:

  • Sports league: "Predict all the Ligue 1 matches this week".
  • Politics league: "Predict the results of the 3 ongoing elections".
  • Crypto league: "Predict whether BTC tops 80K this week".
  • General league: "Make 10 correct predictions in a row this week".

The challenge has a clear objective and a specific leaderboard among the league members who take part.

At the end of the week:

  • The challenge's top 3 receive a "[League] weekly challenge champion" badge.
  • All participants receive a small Devin point bonus.
  • A new challenge suggestion arrives the following Monday.

The manual challenges created by the admin

The admin (or a co-admin) can create manual challenges specific to the league:

  1. Go to League → Challenges → Create a challenge.
  2. Configure:
    • Name of the challenge.
    • Detailed description.
    • Type: prediction, arena bet, or mixed.
    • Victory criterion: success rate, total points, total winnings, etc.
    • Period: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or custom.
    • Reward: special badge created for this challenge, Devin point bonus.
  3. Launch the challenge. All members receive a notification.

Examples of creative manual challenges:

  • "First to 20 correct predictions this month."
  • "Biggest arena win in one week."
  • "Longest streak of correct predictions during the Africa Cup."
  • "Best success rate on political bets in March."

Manual challenges bring real life to the league. Active leagues create them often.

The league's social rewards

When you win a challenge or finish well-ranked in your league, you receive:

1. A specific badge appearing on your public profile, with the league's name.

  • "Week 12 champion - Yaoundé Foot Fans League"
  • "Top 3 monthly challenge - Crypto Squad League"

2. A Devin point bonus added to your global score.

3. A mention in the league's chat: "[You] won this week's challenge! Congrats 🎉"

4. A possible promotion to the league's "Legend" status if you rack up a lot of wins (the admin can grant this purely honorary status).

Important. These rewards are purely social. No money, no technical advantages. But among friends in a private league, it's a great source of pride and good vibes.
