The effect of acceptance
When the admin accepts your dispute, the initial resolution is revised. This can mean:
- The bet is resolved in your favor: you receive the winnings you should have had.
- The event is reclassified as "canceled": you're refunded 100% of your stake (and so is your opponent).
- The bet is reclassified as a different outcome (winner changed).
The decision details precisely what changed and why. You receive this written explanation by email + in the bet's detail in the app.
The financial adjustments
Here are the typical scenarios:
Scenario A - You had lost, the admin accepts your dispute, you now win.
- Your KTK that had already left escrow (lost) return to your wallet.
- You also receive the amount your opponent had won (transferred from their wallet to yours).
- Your opponent loses the winnings they had received + their initial stake.
Scenario B - You had won, the admin accepts your opponent's dispute, you now lose.
- The KTK you had received leave your wallet.
- Your opponent gets back their stake + what they should have won.
Scenario C - The event is canceled after a dispute.
- You and your opponent each get back 100% of your stake.
- No commission is taken.
Scenario D - The resolution is simply different (a different winner than expected).
- The transfers are made according to the new decision.
In all cases, you see the explicit transaction in your wallet history: "Dispute adjustment #XXX - +X KTK" or "-X KTK".
The notification to your opponent
When the admin accepts your dispute, your opponent is notified simultaneously:
- Push: "The resolution of your bet on [event] was revised following an accepted dispute. Details in the app."
- Email with the details of the decision and the reasons.
If your opponent disagrees with the revision, they can also dispute the revised decision within 7 days. But that's rare - the admin has already ruled with justification.
If the opponent does nothing within 7 days, the revision becomes final.
The consequences for other bettors
Important: if you dispute an event where other bettors are involved, and the admin accepts your dispute, that doesn't automatically revise all the other bets.
Each bettor must file their own dispute if they think their resolution was also misjudged. Our admin doesn't revise automatically out of sympathy or for consistency.
However, if the error is obvious and affects everyone (for example an API error that impacted 100 bets), the admin can decide on a mass revision. In that case, all affected bettors are notified and refunded or adjusted automatically.
