When disputing is legitimate
You can dispute a resolution if you have a valid factual reason. Not just because you lost - everyone loses bets, and that's not grounds for a dispute. Valid dispute types.
Here are the valid reasons:
- A factual error from the resolution source (the API published a wrong score).
- A misinterpretation of the event's wording (the bet was on "win in regulation time" but the resolution counted extra time).
- A canceled or postponed event the system didn't detect.
- Suspected fraud or manipulation.
Here are the invalid reasons:
- "I'm disputing because I lost, it's unfair."
- "My opponent cheated" (without evidence).
- "I don't like the outcome."
If you file a dispute for an invalid reason, the admin will reject it. And if you systematically file abusive disputes (10+ rejected disputes), your account can be sanctioned.
How to file a dispute step by step
- Open the app. Go to My bets → find the resolved bet.
- Tap the bet to open its full detail.
- Tap the ⋯ menu at the top right.
- Choose "Dispute this resolution".
- Select the reason from the list:
- External source error (the API published a wrong score).
- Misinterpretation of the wording.
- Canceled event not detected.
- Suspected fraud.
- Other (please specify).
- Describe your reason in detail in a text field. Be precise and factual.
- Attach your evidence (see next section).
- Confirm submission. You receive a confirmation email with a ticket number.
The bet moves to DISPUTED status immediately. Your KTK stay in escrow for the duration of the review. Dispute processing time.
The evidence to attach
You can attach up to 5 files per dispute. Here's the evidence that helps:
- Screenshots: an official capture from a reference site (sports league, government site, crypto platform). JPG or PNG format, max 5 MB per file.
- Links: URLs to reliable sources (press article, official statement).
- PDF documents: scanned official statement, certificate, declaration.
- Explanatory text: in the text field, add any detail that helps explain your reason.
The stronger your evidence, the better your chances of winning the dispute. Vague disputes or disputes without evidence are almost always rejected.
What happens next
Once your dispute is submitted:
- The bet moves to DISPUTED. Your KTK + your opponent's stay in escrow.
- Your opponent is notified: "Someone disputed the resolution of your bet. Status: DISPUTED."
- An admin reviews the case: they examine your evidence, contact your opponent if needed, and check the external sources.
- The admin rules within 7 days on average (obvious cases in 24-48 hours, complex cases up to 14 days).
- You're notified of the decision:
- Accepted: the bet is re-resolved in your favor. Winnings are paid according to the new resolution.
- Rejected: the initial resolution stands. No action.
The admin's decision is final. You can't appeal to another admin. But you can refer the matter to an external mediator (Cameroon's gaming authority) if you believe a serious error was made. What happens if the dispute is rejected.
