The seasonal tournament calendar
Four major tournaments per year, aligned with the seasons:
Spring Tournament: March 1 → May 31.
Coincides with the final phases of European sports championships, spring elections in Europe and Africa, and the economic calendar.
Summer Tournament: June 1 → August 31.
Coincides with the big summer sports tournaments (Africa Cup sometimes, the Olympics in Olympic years), hot crypto seasons, and summer political news.
Fall Tournament: September 1 → November 30.
Coincides with the return of championship seasons, fall tech announcements (Apple, Google), and economic reports.
Winter Tournament: December 1 → February 28/29.
Coincides with the holidays, end-of-year predictions, annual reviews, and forecasts for the new year.
Each tournament lasts exactly 3 months. The calendar doesn't change from one year to the next.
How the tournaments work
Automatic entry: no sign-up needed. As soon as you predict a single event during the season, you're counted in the tournament.
Leaderboard calculation:
The tournament score is separate from your overall Oracle Score. It only counts points earned through predictions resolved within the tournament window.
Example: you predict 100 events between March 1 and May 31. The points earned on those 100 events count toward the Spring tournament leaderboard. Your earlier predictions (before March) or later ones (after May) don't count in that specific tournament.
Tracking during the tournament:
- Go to Competitions → Current tournament.
- You see your tournament-specific ranking.
- You also see the top 100 in real time.
- A progress bar shows how many days remain in the tournament.
Closing:
At the end of the window (for example, May 31 at 11:59 PM for the Spring tournament), the leaderboard is frozen. Rewards are distributed automatically within 24 hours.

Strategies to perform well
1. Be active early in the season.
The longer you predict, the more points you stack up. Starting in March (for Spring) rather than May gives you 3x more time.
2. Specialize in the season's strongest theme.
If you know the Africa Cup takes place during the Summer tournament, focus on sports during that period. If a major election is coming up, focus on politics.
3. Target high-multiplier events.
During the seasons, we highlight certain events (Finals, Elections, etc.) with a 1.5x or 2x multiplier. These are the events you can't afford to miss if you want to climb fast.
4. Keep a streak going during the season.
A long streak during the tournament gives you point bonuses that add to the dedicated leaderboard.
5. Stay consistent.
Rather than doing everything in the last week, spread your predictions over the 3 months. You'll be more relaxed and you'll maintain a productive rhythm.
