The difference between trophies and badges
Badges: numerous (60+), often earned passively just by playing (10 resolved predictions, 100 predictions, etc.). Simple icons on your profile.
Trophies: rare (5-15 for a very active user), earned actively through specific accomplishments (tournament, challenge, record). More visual icons, in 3D with animations, highlighted on your profile.
Analogy. Badges = school medals for participation. Trophies = Olympic medals for performance.
The types of trophies available
Seasonal tournament trophies (4 per year).
Every season (spring, summer, fall, winter), we run a 3-month tournament. The top 100 receive a trophy at the end:
- Top 1: Gold Trophy "Champion [season] [year]".
- Top 3: Silver Trophy "Podium [season] [year]".
- Top 10: Bronze Trophy "Elite [season] [year]".
- Top 100: Participation Trophy "Finalist [season] [year]".
These trophies are dated and exclusive - you can never win them again after the season.
Personal record trophies.
Reward exceptional individual records:
- Longest streak: your best streak ever (10+ for Bronze, 30+ for Gold).
- Biggest prediction: you earned 100+ points in one go.
- Perfect year: 365 consecutive days with at least 1 prediction.
Special challenge trophies.
One-off challenges we launch regularly. Past examples:
- Cover the Africa Cup 2024: predict every AFCON match.
- Political marathon 2025: predict every African presidential election in 2025.
- Crypto bull run: predict 30 consecutive crypto events.
Legendary trophies (very rare).
A few exceptional trophies:
- First Supreme Oracle: the platform's first user to reach a streak of 50.
- King of the Year: top 1 for 4 consecutive seasons.
How to actively hunt trophies
Strategy 1 - Aim for the seasonal tournaments.
These are the most regularly accessible trophies. Be active during the season (3 months), predict consistently, aim for the top 100. It's goal number 1 for most serious users.
Strategy 2 - Follow the special challenges.
When we announce a challenge (by push notification and email), it's a shot at a potential trophy. Stay alert to announcements.
Strategy 3 - Go after personal records.
Harder but doable: a long streak, a big contrarian prediction, etc.
Strategy 4 - Be a pioneer.
Some trophies are tied to "firsts" (first to reach a given level, first in a given theme). If you follow the platform closely from early on, you can grab historic "firsts".
Trophy display and prestige
Your trophies appear in a dedicated showcase on your profile:
- 3D visuals: each trophy has a 3D icon with a hover animation.
- Dated: date earned and context (for example, "Champion Spring 2026 - top 1 out of 12,432 participants").
- Highlighted: trophies take up more visual space than badges.
Social effect: having trophies on your profile immediately marks you as a top-level user. It's a strong signal in the community.
Comparing with friends: in private leagues, you can compare your trophies with your friends'. A source of pride or friendly competition.
