How to access the leaderboard
The Oracle leaderboard is accessible from:
- Prediction tab → Leaderboards.
- Profile → My ranking (shows you directly where you are).
- Search: type "leaderboard" in the app's search bar.
You then see:
- The list of the top 1000 predictors in the world, sorted by descending Oracle Score.
- Your exact rank (for example, 4,832nd out of 248,392 users).
- Each user's Oracle Score displayed.
- A country filter if you want to see specifically Cameroonians, Senegalese, French users, etc.
- A theme filter to see the best in sports, politics, crypto, etc.
The leaderboard versions (overall, theme, country)
Version 1 - Overall global leaderboard.
All users worldwide, all themes combined. This is the main leaderboard.
Version 2 - Theme leaderboard.
You pick a theme (Sports, Politics, Crypto, Culture, Science, Economy). Users are sorted by their Oracle Score in that specific theme.
Useful for: seeing the real experts in each field. Someone can be 50,000th on the overall leaderboard but 100th on the Politics leaderboard (because they're ultra-specialized).
Version 3 - Country leaderboard.
You pick your country (Cameroon, Senegal, France, Côte d'Ivoire, etc.). You see that country's best predictors.
Useful for: national pride, regional competition, and finding predictors to follow near you.
Version 4 - Private league leaderboard.
If you're part of a private league (a group of friends), you see the leaderboard specific to that league. Create a private league (coming soon, see the Social category).
Your rank and your progress
On your profile and in the leaderboard, you see several indicators:
Current rank: your absolute position in the chosen leaderboard. "1,247th out of 248,392 users."
7-day change: "+342 spots this week" or "-128 spots". It shows whether you're climbing or falling.
Percentage: "Top 0.5%" or "Top 25%". More meaningful than the raw rank.
All-time high: your best rank ever reached. You get a special badge if you beat your record.
Oracle Score: your current score, which determines your rank.
Should you aim high on the leaderboard?
Not necessarily. The leaderboard has no concrete impact on your day-to-day life. You don't win money, no technical advantage, no privilege.
But aiming high can be motivating:
- Healthy competition: challenging yourself.
- Social recognition: your handle is visible when you rank well.
- Trophies and badges: high-ranked users collect badges and trophies.
- Access to elite tournaments: from the top 100 up, you're invited to exclusive tournaments.
Who the leaderboard is secondary for:
- "Casual players" who predict for fun without aiming to climb.
- Ultra-specialized users who focus on one theme (regardless of the overall ranking).
- Occasional Prediction Mode users (a few events per month).
Tip. Don't let the leaderboard become an obsession. Enjoy Prediction Mode for the experience and the learning. If the leaderboard motivates you, great. If not, ignore it.
