The strict binary case (wins/wins)
When the event explicitly offers two sides such as "Real Madrid wins / Barcelona wins", with no draw option, it's a strict binary label.
If the match ends in a draw, neither side wins. The bet is therefore canceled and 100% refunded to all bettors.
Example: Real Madrid 1-1 Barcelona. You had bet on Real Madrid, your opponent on Barcelona. Draw. You each get your stake back in full.
This is the simplest situation and the most common on Ktkarena. Many sports and electoral events are labeled this way.
The "wins/does not win" case (asymmetric)
Some events have an asymmetric label: "Real Madrid wins / Real Madrid does not win" (or equivalent).
In that case, a draw counts as "Real Madrid does not win" - side B (the "non-Real-Madrid" side) wins. No cancellation, no refund.
Example: Real Madrid 1-1 Barcelona. If you had bet on "Real Madrid wins": you lost (Real Madrid did not win). If you had bet on "Real Madrid does not win": you won.
Why this label exists: it makes it possible to create a bet where one side is the "favorite" (Real Madrid to win) and the other is the "underdog" (anything except a win). Often used for bets on "overwhelming favorites" where bettors want to take the risk of a loss or a draw.
The admin's rule in case of ambiguity
If the label is ambiguous (rare but possible), our admin decides according to the following principles:
- The exact label prevails. If the wording says "Real Madrid wins" with no further detail, and the match is a draw, the bet is canceled. The benefit of the doubt goes to the strict label.
- The context in which the event was created: if the event was created in "binary" mode (classic sports), the cancellation rule applies. If in "asymmetric" mode (politics with a clear gap), the "does not win" rule applies.
- Fairness: in case of total doubt, the admin rules in favor of a full refund (fair to everyone).
How to avoid the trap: read the exact label
Before betting, read the event's exact label carefully. On the betting screen, you see:
- The event's name (short).
- The two sides offered (with precise wording).
- A detailed explanation if you tap the (i) icon next to the label.
If the label isn't clear, contact support before betting. It's your right. Better to clarify upfront than face a surprise afterwards.
Simple rule: for major European sports (soccer, basketball), the label is almost always strict binary. For politics or niche events, check carefully.
