The 4 types of rare badges
1. Historic badges: tied to a specific moment in the platform's history.
2. One-off challenge badges: earned during time-limited community events.
3. Secret badges: not publicly documented, earned by completing unexpected achievements.
4. Legendary badges: the rarest of all - fewer than 100 or 1,000 people worldwide have them.
Historic badges (time-limited)
These badges can no longer be earned once their window closes. They mark how long you've been on the platform.
A few historic examples:
- Pioneer 2024: you created your account in 2024 (Ktkarena's launch year).
- Beta Tester: you were among the first 1,000 users of the private beta.
- Africa Cup 2025: you made predictions during AFCON 2025.
- Web Launch 2025: you were active when we launched the web version (in addition to the mobile app).
For future historic badges: they're announced regularly. Follow the platform's news to catch them.
Important note. Historic badges are among the most respected in the community, because they prove long-term commitment. Having the "Pioneer 2024" badge on your profile in 2030 will be a real sign of loyalty.
Secret badges and Easter eggs
We've planted a few secret badges across the platform. You unlock them by completing undocumented achievements:
A few examples (deliberately vague to avoid spoilers):
- A badge if you predict across all 6 categories on the same day.
- A badge if you edit a prediction at the very last second (between the 30th and 29th second before the deadline).
- A badge if you predict an event for every Olympic sport in one season.
- A badge if you miss 10 predictions in a row and then get 10 right in a row immediately after.
- A badge if you predict an ultra-niche event (for example, a world Scrabble championship).
How to discover them: through curiosity, experimentation, or by sharing tips with other community members. When you unlock one, you get a special notification revealing its existence.
Complete list: there's no exhaustive public list. That's the whole point of Easter eggs. But on community forums, some users share the secret badges they've found.
Legendary badges (the best of the best)
These badges are the most exclusive in the world. Fewer than 100 people have them, sometimes fewer than 10.
Examples:
- Supreme Oracle: a streak of 50 correct predictions. Fewer than 5 people in the world have earned it so far.
- Perfect Year: 365 consecutive days with at least one prediction (and the predictions on those days averaging 60%+ success). About 50 people.
- Polymath: Gold level in all 6 themes. About 20 people.
- Living Legend: global top 10 for 12 consecutive months. 3 people currently.
To go after these badges, you need a combination of skill, discipline, and time. They're the Everests of Ktkarena. Not mandatory, but incredibly satisfying if you reach them.
