The rule, explained simply
You can't hold two different outcomes of the same event within one challenge context. If you already have an active challenge on "Real Madrid wins" and you try to start one on "Barcelona wins" (the same match), the app blocks you with a clear message: "You already have an active challenge on this event." The app shows you which outcomes are closed to you while your challenge is active.
The rule also applies:
- To matched and unmatched challenges.
- To you across all your devices (one account = one challenge per event).
- Whatever the size of your two stakes (even if you stake 100K on one side and 1,000 on the other).
There's one harmless exception: you can switch sides before matching by canceling your first challenge and starting the new one. But once matched, it's locked.
Why it's forbidden
Three reasons.
1. It's playing against yourself. If you stake 5K on "Real Madrid wins" and 5K on "Barcelona wins", whatever the outcome, you win one stake and lose the other. And in between, you pay our commission. So you end up with a guaranteed loss of 500 KTK: the 5% commission on the 10,000 KTK pot you win. You're losing money on purpose.
2. It pollutes the pool. If you take both sides like this, you pollute the cascade - two challenges to match instead of one, meaning two people "busy" challenging you for nothing. That's bad for the platform's liquidity and for other players waiting for a match.
3. Anti-scam. This rule prevents certain scams we've seen on other P2P platforms - for example, two linked accounts "matching" with each other to transfer money illegally. Our KYC + this rule make that kind of manipulation very difficult.
What you can do instead

If you want to diversify, take a side on several different events. That's true diversification: 10 challenges on 10 different matches spreads your risk. Not 2 contradictory challenges on the same match.
The special case of private leagues
A private league changes the matching pool: you're only matched with members of the league. Inside a league, the rule above applies just like anywhere else - one outcome per event.
But the rule is read per challenge context, and these contexts are independent of one another: the open arena, private leagues, direct challenges, the Wall. A challenge started in the arena on "Real Madrid wins" therefore does not stop you taking "Barcelona wins" in a private league, in a challenge sent to a friend, or in a klash published on the Wall: these are separate worlds, and they never match against each other.
When you stake, the app tells you which outcomes are closed to you in that context: the app is what counts.
