Your default public profile
When someone visits your public profile (by tapping your handle in the chat or a leaderboard), here's what they see:
Always visible:
- Your handle (@Marie_237).
- Your profile photo.
- Your bio (if you have one).
- Your overall win rate (for example "57% over 142 bets").
- The total number of resolved bets.
- Your sign-up date (for example "Member since March 2025").
Visible if you've enabled it in your settings:
- Your favorite topics (Football, Crypto, Politics).
- Your badges (earned in challenges or in prediction mode).
- Your ranking in public leagues.
Never publicly visible (by default):
- The amounts of your bets.
- The details of each bet (which match, which side).
- Your balance or your financial history.
- Your in-progress bets (unresolved).
- Your legal name (Jean Dupont) - only your handle is public.
- Your personal info (email, number, address).
It's a balance: enough info to keep the community lively (win rate, badges), without exposing your financial life.
The "Private Profile" mode
If you want less public visibility, you can enable the Private Profile:
- Go to Profile → Privacy → Private Profile.
- Turn the option on.
From that moment, your public profile only shows:
- Your handle.
- Your profile photo.
- A "Private Profile" mention instead of your stats.
Your explicit friends (the ones you've added) can still see:
- Your overall win rate.
- Your favorite topics.
But no one else can see your stats. You also disappear from public leaderboards (except private leagues).
Who it's useful for. You bet big and don't want to draw attention. You'd rather not expose your performance to strangers. You want a more intimate experience, just between friends.
You can turn it off at any time to become public again.
What your opponents see during a bet
When you're matched against an opponent, here is everything they see about you:
- Your handle.
- Your profile photo.
That's it.
They don't see:
- Your real name.
- Your other in-progress bets.
- Your balance.
- How much you usually bet.
- Your geolocation.
It's deliberate: we want bets to stay anonymous beyond the handle. It protects your privacy and prevents social manipulation (for example, an opponent trying to demoralize you during a match).
And it goes both ways: you know nothing about your opponent beyond their handle and photo. Total equality.
How private leagues change the rules
In a private league (a private friend group), the visibility rules change:
- Your friends in the league see your bets within that league (amounts included).
- They see your league-specific ranking.
- The details stay private to the league: no one outside sees what happens inside.
It's the "between friends" spirit: transparency is stronger within a group you chose, because you talk to each other outside the app.
You can leave a league at any time. When you leave, your past bets remain visible to members (history), but your new bets are no longer shared.
