Info you can edit freely

In Profile → My information, you can edit without any validation:

Your handle (username): your public identifier on the platform (for example @Marie_237). You can change it at most twice a year. It must be unique and between 3 and 20 characters.

Your bio: a short text (max 160 characters) shown on your public profile. Many bettors list their favorite topics there ("Football + Cameroonian politics").

Your profile picture: a publicly visible avatar. Add or change my profile picture.

Your display language: French (default), English, or Cameroonian Pidgin (in beta).

Your time zone: by default, we detect it automatically from your location. You can change it manually if you travel.

Your notification preferences: choose which types of alerts you receive (push, email, SMS), and at what times.

Your favorite topics: you can mark Sports, Politics, Crypto, Culture, etc. as favorites to get a personalized feed.

All of these changes are immediate. No validation, no waiting.

Info that requires verification (KYC-related)

Some info is tied to your KYC (the identity verification). You can't edit it freely, because it touches your legal identity:

• Last name.
• First name.
• Date of birth.
• Nationality.
• Place of birth.

To change this info, you must submit a new ID document justifying the change. For example:

• You got married and changed your name: send your new ID with the new name.
• You had entered "Jean" but your actual ID says "Jean-Paul": send a clear photo of your ID.
• An error in your date of birth: send your official document showing the correct date.

Procedure:

1. Go to Profile → My information → KYC change request.
2. Indicate which info you want to change.
3. Attach a clear photo of your new ID document (both sides).
4. Submit.

How to change your handle (username)

Your handle (for example @Marie_237) is your public identifier. It appears on your profiles, in the chat, and in the leaderboards.

To change it:

1. Go to Profile → My information → Handle.
2. Type the new handle you want.
3. The app checks in real time whether it's available (a handle can't be taken by two people).
4. If available, confirm. The change is immediate.

Restrictions:

• Length: between 3 and 20 characters.
• Allowed characters: letters, digits, underscore _.
• Not allowed: spaces, special characters ($, @, #, etc.).
• Not allowed: insults, well-known brands, impersonation (you can't take @Ktkarena or @PSG).
• Limit: 2 handle changes per year.

If you change your handle, your old handle stays reserved for 90 days (to prevent immediate impersonation), then becomes available to other users.

Special case: legal name change

If you have legally changed your name (marriage, divorce, official change by administrative decision), you must update your account to stay KYC-compliant.

Full procedure:

1. Get your new ID document with the new name (updated national ID, passport, etc.).
2. Go to Profile → Security → KYC update request.
3. Attach:
   • Your new ID document (both sides).
   • An official document justifying the change (marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.).
4. Submit. Our KYC team handles this type of case as a priority (24-48h).
5. Validation: your info is updated everywhere (bets, history, tax records if applicable).
