The 3 available methods
Ktkarena gives you three ways to deposit money into your account, depending on what's most convenient for you.
Mobile Money - This is the method most used by our community in Central Africa. Compatible with Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money, and Wave. The deposit is instant: your KTK balance is credited in under 30 seconds. No fees on our side.
Bank card - If you pay with Visa or Mastercard, the deposit is also instant. We charge a 1.5% processing fee (that's what Stripe charges us - we don't add any margin).
USDC stablecoin - For users familiar with crypto. We go through Yellow Card or Kotani Pay depending on your country. The deposit takes 2 to 5 minutes (the time needed for blockchain confirmation). Fees: 0.5%.
How to make a deposit in practice
Here are the steps, identical whatever the method:
- In the app, go to the Wallet tab.
- Tap the Deposit button.
- Choose the amount in FCFA, EUR, USD, or USDC depending on your method.
- Select the payment method.
- Confirm the KTK conversion displayed.
- Follow the instructions for your method (entering your Mobile Money code, 3D Secure validation for your card, etc.).
Once the transaction is confirmed, your KTK balance is updated automatically. You receive a push notification.
Conversion to KTK
Whatever your payment method, the amount is immediately converted to KTK (our internal currency). The conversion rate is clearly displayed before you confirm the transaction. If you deposit 10,000 FCFA, you'll see exactly how many KTK you're going to receive.
Good to know. 1 KTK = 100 KTK-cents. Amounts are always whole numbers, never decimals. Learn more about what 1 KTK is.
